Happy birthday Dan and

We bought a mini van today....and so it begins. Never thought I would own a mini van, oh well, its awesome when you have a baby, a huge stroller and want something safer and more comfy than a tiny ford focus!

Las Vegas

We decided last minute before Labor Day weekend that we would drive to Vegas. We were going to meet up with my mom but it ended up just being us. We hung out with Lisa and Larry and Dan's cousins. It was a ton of fun and I hope we can go back down soon!

Hogle Zoo

We had so much fun taking Ava to the zoo! I think we enjoyed it more than her but she loved looking at everything with us :)

Crib

Yay after a long long wait for this crib we finally picked it up today and Dan put the whole thing together. One step closer to things getting done!
And I actually did my hair and make up so wanted to put in a "better looking" belly photo for 32 weeks!

Christmas Date

Yay for Christmas! I am glad we are starting a little early since we only get a 4 day break together. Dan took me out for a surprise dinner at Claim Jumper, way too much food. I think I brought home more food than I ate!

Then we headed over to the Mesa Temple to see the Temple lights. I was in a bit of pain between my stomach feeling like I was carrying a bowling ball and my back hurting from sitting in Dan's car so we made 1 lap around the Temple before I was ready to go home!

Dan and I also decided to open our presents to each other tonight. Dan already opened a video game he got from me and his brother a couple of days ago so we just decided to finish our Christmas to each other. Tonight he opened a new green polo and a bib for Ava. :)

Dan had an extravagant way of wrapping my gift that took me about 10 minutes to find my gifts. He put my little gifts in a HUGE box full of crumpled newspaper! He got Ava a cute pair of footy pj's with sheep on the feet and he got me a pair of little skull candy head phones that I have been wanting! Anyway I love Christmas time and I am so glad I get to spend the next 4 days with Dan!!!

She finally kicked Dan!

Sunday was my mom's birthday and also the day Dan finally felt Ava kick! I have been feeling her kick my hand for a few weeks now every so often but she has gotten a lot stronger in the past week! Not to mention at 11:45pm on Saturday I talked Dan into taking me to Wendy's because I really really wanted a burger... bad I know.

So she was going nuts after Wendy's so I went and got Dan (he was watching a movie at midnight) and told him to come try and see if she would kick him. Normally when he tries she stops kicking and moving. I was happy that within a minute or so of laying there and drinking some ice water she kicked him 3 times in a row and he felt it!

I have less than 13 weeks to go now. I feel like I am in my 3rd trimester since my pregnancy will only be 39 weeks and that divides down quite nicely into 3 sets, but technically it doesn't start till Sunday once I hit 27 weeks. I have been feeling really good and haven't been sick since Thanksgiving weekend!

Just for fun... how my belly has changed by the end of each trimester so far! I can't wait to add the 39 week picture at the end of this!

Sick Dan

Having Dan sick has been really hard and scary. He went to the Doctor and they said that seeing as he has all the flu symptoms, doesn't matter if its seasonal or H1N1, we need to act as if worse case scenario since I am pregnant and either Flu could be really bad for me.

I am not supposed to be taking care of him much and he is just locked (well kinda) in our 2nd bedroom, sleeping on a twin bed. I would have given up our bedroom but I guess the room with the TV and Xbox was more exciting to a sick man.

His fever looks like it has broken and hopefully he is getting better. Last night he looked so horrible, so I am praying we are near the end of this and that I don't get sick. This has been so hard on me cause I can't be around him much and I worry about him getting better and myself and our baby being okay.

I am ready to fast forward to November now.

Happy Birthday Dan!!

Yesterday was Dan's 23rd birthday! We went to dinner with my family to celebrate! I made him a cake, but we never got a chance to put candles on it because some how I went to bed early and Dan hacked into the cake in the middle of the night!? Oh well!

Tiny is 5 months today. We weighed him this morning and he is a stinking 16 1/2 pound pug!!! His greatest accomplishment this past month is that he has mastered the command "sit"!!! We love him, so we can't help but talk about him a lot. We took him swimming today and I can't tell you how funny he is when he swims... He thinks he is in a giant drinking bowl and that he should be drinking the water while swimming!

I saw this post secret posted on a friends blog tonight and it quickly led me over to Post Secret to check it out on the Sunday secrets. Reading it gave me chills and made me tear up. This is exactly how I feel about Daniel. I have made a world of mistakes, but I wouldn't change a thing. I feel so blessed to have him and know that he is going to be such a wonderful father!

Prince Charming has NOTHING on Dan

Dan is such a sweet husband! He has been so helpful this week. We have had a ton of things going on and my mom is out of town so I am taking care of her dogs and our puppy, which may not seem like a lot, but for me it can be. I am so lucky to have a sweet husband who helps me when I need it most!

2 years together

We met 2 years ago. Yay us! We went to Cheesecake Factory again this year, it was so good but I couldn't even eat half of my meal. I adore Dan, he is so sweet to me. He tried to surprise me by buying the blue dress I am wearing below, but I ruined said surprise. He is such a good sport though!

I made my mom take our picture with Tiny... He is already starting to grow, it's hard to believe he will ever be bigger than 7 pounds! Seeing as I have no job and we have no children and only 1 car, Tiny is my life right now, which I don't mind. He keeps me busy and my mind off things that I can't control right now. I do look forward to finding a job soon (here's hoping that I can find one!) but taking care of Tiny when he is still this little will be good (I hope) for his behavior in the future.

I'm 23!

Yesterday was my birthday, but it feels like we have been celebrating for days. On Friday night the Calkins had a fun little party for me in Orem! It was so thoughtful and I appreciate Dan's family so much!

Yesterday I spent most of the day with Tiny while Dan was at work. Dan took me to lunch and dinner, I am spoiled, I know. Tiny gave me a good birthday present though last night, he slept the whole night in his kennel without crying and didn't wake up until 6:30!!! Good puppy!!!

Today I celebrated with my family by going to dinner and having the cake Dan made me. Dan asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and all I wanted was a cake that was NOT CHOCOLATE! haha so he made me a white cake with white frosting! Its my favorite! It was so nice to go to dinner with everyone and I still can't believe we live here now.We have been experiencing a few moving problems. The first week and a half we were here we had no car, and now we have 1 car (which we were supposed to have 2)... Dan's car was having some problems so it couldn't make the trip. Now we are making another trip back to get Dan's car, but hopefully we will be meeting Dan's parents in Saint George instead of going to Orem. As much as I do love Orem, I have been having a hard time staying awake long enough to drive more than an hour or two... ick no good!

Anyway I had a wonderful birthday, I loved it! I cannot believe I am 23... I am entering my midtwenties and that feels weird to me. I told Dan I am the older woman for a few months and he quickly responded that I "am always the older woman" but I disagree... no one knows I am older when we are both "22" but when he 22 and am 23... hahaha I guess I am just splitting hairs.Here is an adorable picture of Tiny, seeing as he was my birthday present this year! I love him!!!!

Today's Update

Tiny is doing awesome. We are trying to potty train him via crate training. It helps when you actually figure out what crate training is haha. He has a good schedule right now, minus he gets me up just before 6 am. Not my favorite but for him I don't mind. I figure this will be a small step in baby training before we actually have kids.

This is Dan's first dog/pet ever. Its been a long time since I have had a puppy but Tiny seems to be doing pretty great. I have never seen a dog that likes squeaky toys as much as Tiny does. I am pretty sure he thinks our dog Mario is one big squeaky toy.

We leave in 2 days for Utah and get sealed in 4! I can't believe our anniversary is this Sunday. It feels like we just got married. I am excited for this weekend in Utah but we will miss Tiny.

What I have been doing since We moved

2. Checking up on my elderly dog

4. Making to do lists and not doing the things on them
5. Watching TLC, Food Network & MTV

Thats pretty much it. We have unpacked most of our stuff and have been swimming once. I have to say I have more bruises than I have ever had in my entire life. Not sure why, other than I guess moving. So many of my muscles hurt and I have been getting in bed by 8pm and laying around. I dislike being sick.

Its weird not to be at work because I am not on the internet very much now. Boring update, I know.

In other news, Dan's started his job and I am so excited for him... I only wish we had our cars down here already in order to make the mornings easier.Dan and I went to the APARN adoption day up in Glendale on Saturday to see some pugs. We put in papers to start fostering one of their pugs if we can. We fell in love with one really hyper pug who is 2 years old named Vincent. We would love to foster him, but who knows. His owners dropped him off with Aparn when were were there.

Friday Night Date Night

Dan and I went to Ruby River last night! We haven't been out on a night on the town in a while because of our busy schedule but we made time for it and had so much fun! After Ruby River we drove to West Valley up near Salt Lake and watched our friend Brent race his car at the Rocky Mountain Race Way Midnight Race. It was sooo fun! We got to hang out with Brent and see him in his element! I knew Brent's car was fast but I didn't realize that he has one of the fastest cars out of what seemed like hundreds of cars that showed up to race. I was so excited when he first came up and by the time him and other car were at the end of the race way everyone was on their feet! He did the quarter mile in just over 11 seconds! It was fun!
This is Brent's video from the night! He ran an 11.5 against another really fast car. They were both some of the fastest cars out there. Not to mention, Brent bought his motor from a junkyard for 90$!!

My Sunshine

This was the first photo Dan and I ever took together, it was the night he came back from Tennessee, the day before his 2nd quarter at Neumont started. We had just started dating. I remember that night very well. I remember thinking about what would happen with him and what on earth I was going to do with my life.

I can't believe its been almost 2 years since we met and almost a year since we were married! I feel so lucky that Dan and I are moving to Arizona in 20 days and that we are getting sealed in 35 days! We are going to have the best anniversary!

Dan Graduated!!!

I am so proud of my Daniel! He has worked so hard at Neumont and has done so well! I am so happy that he already has a job lined up that he starts one month from today! It is really fun to see this day come because Dan and I met right before he started attending Neumont nearly 2 years ago!
The graduation ceremony was nice and short (compared to mine!) Dan was the cutest one there... it was a nice small class that was graduating and it was so fun to have Matt here from Idaho to share the day with!
