Oh no

I said in my earlier post I was scared to weigh her because she would be 9 pounds... well she is over 9 pounds now?!

Ava and Dan

2 weeks old

I cannot believe Ava is 2 weeks old today! Its gone by so quickly and I can't believe how big she is already getting. Her newborn clothes and diapers are getting tight and I know we are going to have to move up to 0-3 month clothes soon. I have already been putting her in some 0-3 pj's because we only had 2 pair of newborn pj's. I am tempted to weigh her but I'm afraid my little baby will already be 9 pounds... haha

We have taken an absurd amount of pictures of Ava in the last 2 weeks and some cute videos, when I get over to the desktop I will post some more. She is so adorable. She makes the funniest noises and often sounds like a little sheep or horse and I honestly can hear her cry "ouch" its so funny... oh and she has this scary "joker" type laugh cry that makes me laugh so hard it hurts my c-section incision!

I have started to notice more things about Ava that look like Dan or look like me. She has Dan's puffy eyes that he had when he was a baby and she mostly looks like me as a newborn. Dan had really light colored blonde hair as a baby and I had nearly black hair, her pretty light brown hair is my favorite! Ava also got her "storks bite" birthmark between her eyes from me and I got mine from my Dad. I wasn't expecting her to have this birthmark but I guess it can be heredity. Mine went away when I was 3 or so. The funny thing about it is Ava's can be really light at times and you can hardly see it and other times its bright red.

Anyway Ava is my perfect little princess. She loves to cuddle, she eats like she is never going to get to eat again and she is growing like a weed!

We are so in love, words can't even explain how much we love our baby girl. I still can't believe she is really here. Its been a crazy week but everyday gets easier and I am hoping that recovery keeps going well.

The c-section went great. It was a very out of body experience and I am thankful for a great team of doctors and nurses that had good humor and kept me sane. I was surprised that I stayed as calm as I did while getting prepped and when they started. I was very nervous but none of it felt real. I couldn't believe how quickly it all happened once we got into the OR.

Our nurse was amazing and she made everything a good experience and I was able to look to her when I needed help. She told me before we went in that it would be even better if I tried to stay calm so that I could hear Ava's first cry. I did the best I could do and was so excited when I heard her cry! I got to stare upside down at them as they got her cleaned up, Dan was able to take pictures and I just cried.

Anyway its been quite a week, it has been far from easy and one of the hardest experiences of my life and I think its going to be some time before I feel 100% again, but we are so blessed to have our sweet baby girl. I couldn't have asked for a more precious baby.

What the!

I hate my old health insurance company, they keep sending me insane bills for things that don't make sense, I have a feeling I am going to be on the phone for a long time tomorrow trying to sort all of that mess out. And while I was opening yet another strange bill, my little brother walks in to tell me that my car was broken into AGAIN...

So now I get to replace yet another side window (which our insurance doesn't cover and I never changed since the last time, BOOO) and I will not be installing a stereo or buying another ipod or even borrowing another ipod. I am super paranoid (if anyone doesn't know that already) so I have been really good about NOT leaving Dan's ipod in the car EVER, I will take it in with me to stores and what not whenever I am out, so somehow I forgot on Saturday to bring in the ipod and these losers stole it.

All I can figure is that they are coming by the house and checking to see if I have replaced what they have stolen. We just got a new stereo and thankfully haven't installed it yet, now we won't install it and I just will never listen to music in my car ever again or at least till we move :(

Nothing too new going on

Somehow I thought I may have more to share than this... but lo and behold, I don't haha same old same old for right now! As you can tell these are pretty much the only things that keep me occupied for the time being!

How many times can I change up 1 room... not sure, but I am pretty sure I am finally done!
Tiny is as cute as ever! Almost 11 months, cannot believe he will be a year old next month! I realized he has finally got a really good schedule down that I can keep up with. Only took us 8 months.
