This is the first time in years that I have basically gotten everything on my vacation list accomplished. Took 2 weeks and I still wish i had been able to see more friends and more often! Here are some pics from our trip!

Girls love Clothes :)
I am a bit (or a lot) obsessed with clothes. Since nothing I can wear right now is cute, I mostly just love Ava's clothes! I have made this skirt last longer than any other clothing item of Ava's! She wore it for the first time at 1 month old and now at 7 months old! Ava wears 12 and 18 month clothes and this skirt is 3-6 month size, but I was determined for her to wear it lots. She has worn it more than 2x so that's lots in Ava's world. And yes thats the same onesie, just in 3m and 12m size.... Anyway we will retire my favorite Ava skirt now. I've noticed that all my favorite Ava clothes are black and white or red.

Repeat
Ok we are getting into repeat outfits! A ton of Ava's tiny 3 and 6 month clothes went on clearance at Carters so I bought up a bunch of them in 18 and 24 month size. Can't believe we are already getting into the repeats this quick. Anyway I love them and hoping she can wear them more than the first sets!
And yes I'm a freak and I love comparison photos... All the time. Get used to it :)

Sleep
I think I need to get rid of my facebook account, stop talking to other people and stay home... maybe then I won't have to hear about other people's babies that sleep like perfect angels.
Seriously? I am starting to think its a conspiracy, that no one's babies really sleep 10-12 hours a night let alone more than 4 hours in a row?! So if you say your baby does.... I don't believe you :)
Sorry to complain.

AZ trip so far
We left on Tuesday for our 2 week+ trip to AZ. I am so thankful for my sister in law Lisa for letting me stay at her place on Tuesday in Vegas. There is no way I could have done the entire 12 hour drive in one day. On Tuesday morning Ava was up early so we just left at 5:30 and drove in the dark for an hour and a half. As soon as it started getting light out it poured rain till we got to St George. It took us over 7 hours to do our normally 5 1/2 hour drive.
Wednesday we left at 6 for AZ and thankfully the weather was great and we made it in 5 1/2 hours. Ava does really great the first 3 hours in the car and then she just doesn't want to sleep anymore. The last hour of each day was the hardest. I hate having her cry but when I know she is fed, clean and not really tired, there's nothing that will help other than getting the trip over with.
Its been so nice to be here and hang out with my family. Ava is enjoying seeing everyone and playing all the time. She is starting to go to bed earlier which is nice, I just hope I can get her to stop waking up at 2 and 5.

Big Girl Car Seat
After what feels like months of research, we finally picked out Ava's big girl car seat. I wanted a car seat that I could keep Ava rear facing in as long as possible. And since Ava is off the charts for height I went with this Radian car seat because it has the tallest rear facing capabilities and overall can be used till she is 53 inches forward facing :)
By law babies must be rear facing until they are at least 1 AND 20 pounds. Now the American Pediatrics Association wants to change this law to be till they are 2 years old at least. It always makes me sad to see kids who are front facing earlier than their first birthday. Its 5x safer for a child to be rear facing.
The first 2 things people always say to me when I bring up rear facing "but they are happier front facing" and "what about their legs"
I don't know about the happier part... hopefully if she only ever knows what its like to be rear facing she won't mind it until we turn her. And the legs thing makes me laugh. Kids sometimes stay rear facing till 4 or 5 and they just find places to fold or hang their legs. No big deal if you ask me.
Ok now that you probably think I am a crazy person (remember for a second, I was a Public Health Education major :) Here is Ava's new Radian 80 XTSL car seat!
