Spring Cleaning

Spring cleaning this year was inspired by the fact that A) My Mom is coming on Friday B) We are trying to sell our apartment and C) (most importantly) It would make Dan sooooooo happy!

It took me 5 hours to clean less than 500 square feet! I did everything from dusting to vacuuming to massive overhauls on the junk that was in the apartment. I actually found a home for every little thing that has been hanging out in the open. The bookshelf was the biggest project and I couldn't be happier that I finally did it! I actually feel like we could have people over without stressing out!The whole time I cleaned I kept thinking about how happy Dan would be when he got home. I wanted to tell him what I was doing but I knew it would be more fun to surprise him (the state of our apartment has been pretty dismal after my 20 credit hour semester and working on top of that!) Today was the perfect day to clean after finishing my last final!

Dan was so excited when he got home. I almost started crying, it was so fun to do this for him and make him so happy! I definitely need to work on being neater, but with Dan so happy, I want to do this for him more often (especially now that this semester is OVER!)

Apartment

Our apartment is 425 square feet of pure love and happiness... (ok that 2nd part is not always true)

We are getting it put together and as I get things done I think I am going to start posting some pictures!

Marriage is awesome... Its a major adjustment from single life and even from engaged life. I was so used to being able to just go home and be alone for a while before I went to bed but then I would be up half the night because I couldn't sleep. Now that I am married I have Dan their all the time when I am doing things like getting ready to go out or for bed and having a small apartment we are always in each others "space" as I say but once we get rid of some more of the boxes we should have some more room in our living room and I will hopefully calm down about him being their while I am doing my hair, make up, brushing my teeth and all those things I haven't done in front of people.

PS... I have never shared a room before so as bratty as that may make me I have always been the only girl and I have always just had my own room. He is great though, he helped do laundry last night and carried the bags down 4 flights of stairs and ran back up to the top when I forgot the soap. He even got rid of some old shirts after we ordered him new ones from old navy!

I love Dan and I love him for tolerating me while I adjust and he has been doing great at the adjustment.

This weekends Events

1) We signed our contract and paid our deposit for our apartment!

2) I ordered my custom veil that I am really excited about.

We found our Apartment!

I can't tell you how happy this makes me and how emotional I am and want to cry!

I won't go into the mess its been trying to find a place. But today we got a call from our top place that we can move into one of their apartments on July 7th (which happens to be the day after our honeymoon ends!!!)
We will be living at The Lilac Place in Provo at 353 E 300 N #65 on the 3rd floor starting in July! We need to sign the contract and pay the deposit and its ours! We are going to look at #65 tonight... we have seen the neighbors apartment but not our own! I think Dan will have to get used to having a small kitchen and small bathroom but I am so excited for a place to call our own!
