I can't believe in 6 days we will have known each other 3 years, 2 years ago we were married and 1 year ago (yesterday) we were sealed! Nothing too eventful this week though! haha Other than the fact that this year we have an ever so fun adorable 3 month old!!!Probably one of my favorite wedding photos!

2 years since we got engaged

I cannot believe its been 2 years since we got engaged!? Dan is an amazing husband and I already know he will be a wonderful father! I am so thankful for all the experiences we have gone through together and that we were able to get sealed in June and will now be sealed as a family forever! Means so much to me that I will always have him and our children!October 2007

2 years together

We met 2 years ago. Yay us! We went to Cheesecake Factory again this year, it was so good but I couldn't even eat half of my meal. I adore Dan, he is so sweet to me. He tried to surprise me by buying the blue dress I am wearing below, but I ruined said surprise. He is such a good sport though!

I made my mom take our picture with Tiny... He is already starting to grow, it's hard to believe he will ever be bigger than 7 pounds! Seeing as I have no job and we have no children and only 1 car, Tiny is my life right now, which I don't mind. He keeps me busy and my mind off things that I can't control right now. I do look forward to finding a job soon (here's hoping that I can find one!) but taking care of Tiny when he is still this little will be good (I hope) for his behavior in the future.

1st Anniversary

My mom gave us this for our anniversary!

After spending 10 and a half hours in a car, we made it back home from our sealing weekend! Dan drove 8 of those hours, poor D. I was too tired to drive. Dan's car broke down (kinda) and we had to leave it in Utah.. so looks like we are NOT done with this move yet! Anyway I am so thankful for Dan. I cannot believe we have been married for a year and are now sealed! I love Dan more and more everyday. He is so wonderful and I am so blessed to have him as my husband!

Saw this on Post Secret today, seems fitting since Dan and I have been together for 2 years and I have learned so much about life and love from him in the past 2 years!

Anniversary

Seeing as our 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up in just over a week I thought it would be fun to look up about what people do for their 1 year anniversary. I found this site which had a list of the traditional and modern gifts for each year of marriage. 1st year is Paper, so I need to come up with something interesting to give Daniel. We have talked about getting a puppy as an anniversary/birthday present, but I would like to get something little and fun for Dan.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know!!!

Seeing as we just moved we haven't made any big plans for our anniversary. We will be spending about 10 hours in separate cars on our actual anniversary. Oh well, we will do what we gotta do in order to get our cars here! We did not save our top of our wedding cake, which doesn't bother me what so ever, we just will eat something yummy and fabulous!

We are going to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our 2 year anniversary of being together on July 4th weekend! I love Dan so much. Speaking of that weekend, I am also soooo excited that Amanda is coming into town from Alaska with her boys! Her 1st born, Brayden is turning 4 next week and I haven't seen him since before he turned 1. I also have never met her sweet little Noah and Alex! So I am soooo beyond excited to see her!

9 Months

We have been married 9 months today. I joked with Dan that we could have had our first baby by now! Strange thought. Anyway yesterday we were talking about something and I said something like, well you figured that out months ago... then I counted... 21 months ago. Holy moly. Both of us agree, it feels like yesterday that we met and it doesn't feel like its been almost 2 years. 3 more months and we will be graduated and hopefully know a little bit more about where we are moving! We will also be celebrating out sealing, our anniversary and my 23rd birthday. To say the least I cannot WAIT until June!!!My cousin Chainey's birthday party today... here are some fun pictures from our day:

6 Months of Marriage

In the last 6 months....
  1. I have learned that I can be hard to live with
  2. I have earned straight A's in school
  3. I have learned that I prefer doing laundry but don't prefer putting it away and that Dan likes things cleaner than I do
  4. I have started going to church every Sunday
  5. I have learned that I can actually sleep without a TV or Movie on
  6. I have learned that I don't cook or clean nearly as much as I thought I would once I got married
  7. I have lost weight
  8. I have paid all our bills and keep us on budget (even if that budget is sometimes bigger than it should be!)
  9. I have been trying to keep an open mind about living in snow (its a battle)
  10. I have never been so happy or grateful to have someone to experience everything with!
The past 6 months have gone by so fast, but so has the past year and a half. And I anticipate that next 6 days, months and years will fly by as well. We bought an ornament this Christmas that said "Our first Christmas together" and I told my mom... we will never have another first Christmas together so might as well celebrate it.

This is something I have realized, there are a lot of first, especially in the first year of marriage. Some first are amazing, others not so much. We learn from each first and can try and celebrate all the fun along the way.

I love this photo because its back before we ever knew we were going to be married. It was back when we were just starting to get to know each other. How little do we know that some small decisions will change our lives in such great and lasting ways.

Happy Engagement Anniversary... or Halloween

One year ago Dan tricked me into thinking he was staying at school all evening and I was so sad. I drove around after work with nothing to do and nowhere to go. I finally went back to my house and found my Daniel there with a dozen roses! He took me to Rock Canyon park and proposed along the path! I nervously laughed and of course as you all know said yes! It was so perfect, he was so sweet, he got down on one knee and he had the most beautiful ring in a beautiful box.

We have been married 4 months now and I am so blessed to have him in my life. We are still learning new things everyday and adjusting to all the new things that life throws at you when you are married. I am still trying to learn how to be a better wife and I know that will be a life long journey. I love my sweetheart and since we both aren't big on Halloween I am excited to celebrate our 1 year mark since our engagement by going to the movies tonight and having a nice night to ourselves!!
